One of the greatest features of the distance component within a blended learning course can be the ability for the student to proceed at their pace. Perhaps the student needs a little more processing time. If they are watching a video online, typically they can scroll back and watch the segment they needed a little more time. Students have the ability to watch the video over and over, if that is what is required. If they are involved in an interactive activity online, the "wait time" can often be determined by the student's individual pace, not just one time alloted by the teacher for all students, as in the face-to-face session.
